"Have you ever heard of the Immortal Jellyfish...?"

Muse has been wandering the ocean aimlessly for a long time. Even after inadvertently picking up Lamna, a lone great white, they do little more than drift along- their body carried by the currents, their mind by dreams. Or are they dreams...?

Play as Muse, a jellyfish, as they wander the deep, drifting through surreal dreams and memories. Will you manage to escape the clutches of memory? Or will you let them drag you down into the abyss...?

Made for the RPG Maker Horror Game Jam #14: Endless Ocean! Game has 2 endings, and takes approx 15-30 mins to complete, depending on your reading speed and how much you like to explore. All music and original/non-default sprites were made by yours truly ^^

CW: Mild body horror, descriptions of self harm/attempted suicide, implied medical abuse, and depictions of a character losing their grasp on reality.

NOTE: While I have play tested the game and have not run into any soft locking or game breaking bugs, PLEASE let me know if you come across something, and I will fix it after the game jam rating period ends <3

Ahh this game is fantastic!!! The story just drops you in the deep end, and the slow realization of what’s going on is absolutely haunting. Some of the descriptions chilled me to the core. I adored the art and character designs, and I love love LOVE Muse and Lamna. They are so flippin’ cute!! T^T As a side note, it’s so sweet that Muse seemingly doesn’t comment on the environment until meeting Lamna. Feels like the world comes more alive.

Green Fish. :’)

Oh my gosh, thank you so much!! I'm so glad that you enjoyed it! This is my first time doing something intentionally in the horror genre, so I'm really glad that it was impactful ;w; And I'm glad that you liked Lamna and Muse! I wanted their relationship to be a nice foil to The Horrors, so I'm glad that that was successful ;w;

Green Fish!!

This was lovely!! I loved the music and the custom bits of art a lot. The writing was so sweet and I was really shook by that kind of horror take on immortality. What a scary concept.

Thank you so so much for taking the time to play it!! Waking up to this was so wonderful, I'm really glad you enjoyed it ;w; Thank you for your suggestions and feedback too- I am trying to get a web version working, I just need to get 7zip on my computer again because I forgot you can't use a rar file for that ^^'
